The AFEPA Programme is offered by a consortium of 4 European partner universities (the University of Bonn, Germany, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden, the Université Catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-neuve, Belgium, and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza-Cremona, Italy). Participating students spend one year each at two of the European partner universities with the possibility of a short exchange visit to an associated partner university, obtaining a double degree by the two Universities the students attend.
The AFEPA programme is financed by the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme of the EU and offers scholarships to the participating students. AFEPA students aiming to obtain a scholarship are selected through a centralized procedure (more information are available at www.afepa.eu). Students of the M.Sc. in Agricultural and Food Economics at UCSC can also join the Programme during their first year of study. In this case, students cannot obtain the EMJMD scholarship, but they can use the standard Erasmus Exchange scholarships for the period they spend abroad.
